Beatrix Potter was not only a beloved author and artist but also a significant figure in the world of science and conservation. Her enchanting tales, like those of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck, captivated children, and adults alike. But her impact extended far beyond storytelling.
At a time when it was uncommon for women to excel in art, science, and conservation, Beatrix Potter broke barriers and inspired many. Her stories and illustrations continue to touch childhoods around the world, fostering a love for nature and imagination in countless readers. Through her artistic and scientific contributions, Beatrix remains a lasting influence, reminding us all of the beauty and importance of the natural world.

Hayao Miyazaki is a renowned Japanese filmmaker, animator, and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, known for his beautifully crafted, imaginative films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Howl’s Moving Castle. I chose him as my class name because my children and I enjoy his films, and I admire how his work inspires creativity and teaches valuable life lessons.
