Steve Backshall is a television presenter of programmes about the natural world. He is best known for the ‘Deadly’ series on CBBC. He is brave and enjoys taking on new challenges while exploring the world around him. He teaches children about animals and the importance of protecting wildlife and the environment. Through his adventures, he shows that being curious and eager to learn can lead to exciting discoveries. He also encourages children to stay active, healthy, and adventurous by spending time outdoors. In addition, Steve demonstrates kindness, respect, and responsibility towards animals, inspiring children to care for living things and the natural world.

Our class is named after William Cuffay, a brave man who believed that everyone should have a fair say in how the country was run. William was the son of a former slave and a leader of the Chartists, a group of people who campaigned for fair voting rights and wanted ordinary people to be heard. Even though life was not always easy for him, he stood up for what he believed was right and encouraged others to work together to make a difference. We can all make a difference too and remember, like William Cuffay, to use our voices to make positive changes in the world!
