We chose Moore as our class name after being inspired by Captain Tom Moore.
Not only did he devote his life to helping others by joining the armed forces, but he also went on to do a huge amount for charity. He didn’t let being almost 100 years old deter him from raising millions for the NHS by walking daily.
In his book, he invited others to join him in his task so that no one would be left behind.
This links with our School vision, the parable of ‘The Lost Sheep’.

Rashford Class is named after Marcus Rashford who didn’t have much as a child. With the love and support of his mum, he joined Manchester United’s youth academy and became a star. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Marcus took a stand on behalf of kids growing up with food poverty, working with a food charity to make sure that no child would go to bed hungry. Marcus is an inspiration on and off the pitch.
