Welcome EYFS
Hartmann Class
Class Teacher: Mrs L Richards & Mrs S Peake
Year Group Teaching Assistants: Mrs D Fielder & Mrs L Gardner
Hartmann Class is named after Jack Hartmann, an educational musician who has created hundreds of fun, engaging songs to help young children learn early maths concepts like counting, shapes, patterns, and more. His music makes learning interactive and enjoyable, helping to build confidence and a love for numbers from the very start. His work has become a favourite in many classrooms, and we’re excited to celebrate his contribution to early maths education in our Reception class this year.
Johnson Class
Class Teacher: Mrs E Champion
Year Group Teaching Assistants: Mrs D Fielder & Mrs L Gardner
She was a brilliant mathematician who loved numbers and solving tricky problems. She was so clever that she started university when she was just 15 years old!
Katherine worked for NASA, the space agency, where she helped astronauts travel safely into space. She used her amazing math skills to figure out how fast rockets needed to go, how far they would travel, and the best paths to take through space.
Her work helped the first American spaceship orbit the moon in 1961, and she also helped with the famous 1969 mission that landed the first person on the moon!
She represents intelligence, perseverance, equality and inspiration. All important qualities that make a strong and successful learning community.
