The government provides ring-fenced funding, with the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, to help improve the provision of Physical Education and sport in Primary Schools. Initially this funding was announced for the academic years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. The funding has been extended.
We intend to use this money to continue to improve quality of teaching through the delivery of high quality PE lessons across the school and ensure children have a very good understanding of healthy lifestyles. We will also use the money to improve and promote active lifestyles for the children within our school, both during the school day and before and after school. We feel this is the most effective and efficient way for the funding to have a long lasting and positive effect on future learning and physical development of children within our school.
