All schools have their own unique identity and we believe at Sutton-at-Hone C of E Primary School our ethos of ASPIRE is part of what makes us unique. The components of ASPIRE all contribute towards developing happy, safe, well-motivated children who always aspire to be the very best they can be.
A is for ACHIEVEMENT
We believe that all children can achieve and that there are many ways that achievement can be measured. We encourage our children to continuously strive for improvement, set challenging goals for themselves and develop the skills required to achieve their goals.
S is for STRONG CHRISTIAN VALUES
We have twelve Christian Values that underpin our relationships with one another and guide us through our daily lives. They are: love, compassion, thankfulness, hope, forgiveness, trust, courage, justice, service & humility, community, wisdom and peace.
P is for POLITENESS
At Sutton-at-Hone we believe that politeness is an important part of learning how to develop as a person and function within a community. This is reinforced through our ‘Golden Rules’.
I is for INSPIRATION
Being inspirational to others as well as looking to others for inspiration is one of the ways that we develop as learners. Collaborative learning allows us to work to our strengths and learn from those around us.
R is for RESPECT
At Sutton-at-Hone we try to put ourselves in the shoes of others and behave in ways that show that we care. At its heart, being respectful means us showing that we value other people’s perspectives, time and space.
E is for ENTHUSIASM
At Sutton-at-Hone we come to school with a positive attitude, we approach learning with a sense of curiosity, pride and enthusiasm.
